Subject:
Health economics
Course outline:

This course comprises six sequential modules that cover the main frameworks for economic evaluation, with a particular focus on model-based economic evaluation, which is the most common and useful form of evaluation. Each module comprises a set of 4 or 5 on-demand online lectures and a computer-based practical. Each lecture is 15-30 minutes long, and includes multi-choice/short answer questions to support learning. In the practicals, students gain experience using workbooks to apply the taught methods using real world examples.

Real-time online sessions will be held for each module to provide direct interaction around the lectures and practicals. The course has a customised web site that holds the lectures and practicals, practical solution videos, additional materials, and discussion boards that are checked regularly by the course co-ordinator.
