The American Society of Health Economists (ASHEcon) is a newly formed professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence in health economics research in the United States. ASHEcon is an affiliate of the International Health Economics Association. ASHEcon will provide a forum for emerging ideas and empirical results of health economics research. The major activity through which ASHEcon will achieve its mission will by conducting biennial meetings in the US (alternative years to the iHEA conference). ASHEcon will be governed by a Board of Directors. The inaugural board consists of a highly distinguished group of health economists from all parts of the United States.
