The Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment Research Centre; Hungarian Office for Health Technology Assessment (HunHTA) is embedded in the Department of Public Policy and Management at Corvinus University of Budapest. The predecessor of the Research Centre, as a Working Unit was established in 1998 and it has worked in its present form since 1. March 2007. The Research Centre pursues an educational, a research and a consultation activity. Education: The Research Centre at Corvinus University of Budapest is responsible for providing courses for Bsc and Msc students as follows: Health Policy and Financing, Health Economics, Health Technology Assessment and Pharmaco-economics, Quality Improvement and Management, each with classes of 80 minutes twice a week ( 4 credits) . Students from other schools as well as anybody interested in this area may attend. Training: The Research Centre offers a wide range of customised training options. Personalized and specialized training is based on claims of governmental institutions and different private companies. On the basis of a preliminary survey and an analysis of needs and objectives, the training aims at the field of health economics, pharmaco-economics, technology assessment and evidence based medicine and the epidemiology. We are experienced in courses both in English and Hungarian language as well. The content and the topics of the trainings depend on our partner's need. Research: The Research Centre regularly takes part in international research programmes financed by the European Commission.
